UNUSUAL PACKAGING ADDS SPECIAL TOUCH TO EVERYDAY OBJECTS

SPECIAL PRODUCTS WITH CHARACTER

No one is particularly keen on insects in their house: they keep buzzing around, they love jam sandwiches and – at worst – our blood. However, this perception might change a bit – thanks the latest design created by CS Electric from Belarus. The firm has had an amazingly special idea for the stylish packaging of its lamps.

The idea came from the designer Angelina Pischikova and was inspired by Thomas Edison who once described the firefly as the perfect source of light. This prompted her to take a close look at the various forms of lamps and then compare them with the bodies of insects.

A SPECIAL SHAPE FOR EACH BODY
A long, narrow light bulb can be likened to the body of a dragonfly, a rounded bulb is like that of a beetle, and a spiral bulb is shown on the package as the thick stripes on the body of a bee. By adding strategically placed cutouts to the carton, the picture on the package and the shape of the bulb complement each other, forming a harmonious overall impression. Thanks to these smart associations, the customer sees more than a simple lamp, as each product has turned into a very specific item with its own character. Each picture is based on a diagram from old physics and biology textbooks, presented in the style of an engraving, thus combining a fresh design with a trendy retro style.
